Thinking about becoming a lifesaver or supporting your local surf club? Now’s your chance to gain the skills, confidence, and qualifications you need to make a difference on the beach — and maybe even save a life.
Our Bronze Medallion (BM) and Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) courses are kicking off on Sunday 26 October, running weekly on Sunday mornings (9:00am–12:00pm) and Tuesday evenings (from 5:30pm).
Whether you’re a teenager ready to start patrolling or a parent wanting to help out at Nippers, carnivals, or training sessions, there’s a course here for you.

🛟 Bronze Medallion – Become a Lifesaver
The Bronze Medallion is the nationally recognised qualification for surf lifesavers. Over four weeks, you’ll learn:
Rescue techniques in the surf
CPR and first aid
Beach awareness (including how to spot rips and currents)
Surf survival and communication skills
It’s not just about lifesaving – it’s about learning skills for life.
Prerequisite: Swim 400m in under 9 minutes.

🌟 Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC) – The Perfect First Step
Running alongside the Bronze Medallion over 2.5–3 weeks, the SRC is ideal for:
Juniors aged 13+ looking to join patrols
Parents and carers wanting to support water safety activities
You’ll cover the basics of first aid, CPR, and rescues — setting you up for future involvement in surf lifesaving.
Prerequisite: Swim 200m in under 5 minutes.
📩 How to Register
