A Fun Fundraiser for Narooma Surf Lifesavers

Kick off 2026 with one of Narooma’s most-loved New Year’s Day traditions — the Annual Duck Race Fundraiser in support of the legendary Narooma Surf Lifesavers.

This fun, family-friendly event is a great way to celebrate the New Year while helping the volunteers who keep our beaches safe.

🌊 How It Works

On New Year’s Day at 12:30pm, we’ll release 500 bright yellow rubber ducks from the Narooma Bridge. From there, the outgoing tide will carry them downriver to the finish line at Apex Boat Ramp.

Each duck is numbered, and the first one across the line wins the $500 prize!

🏆 Do I Need to Be There?

Nope! You don’t need to be present to win — winners will be contacted after the race.

But if you’re in town, we highly recommend coming along. The boardwalk is the perfect spot to watch the ducks bob along the river, and it’s always a great atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
